At Muhammed Cassim Hardware, we are committed to getting your hardware, building materials, tools, and supplies to you as efficiently as possible. 

  1. Order Processing Time

Once your payment has been received and verified, we begin processing your order. 

Standard processing time: 3–7 business days (this includes confirming your order details, sourcing/purchasing the goods from our suppliers, and preparing for dispatch).

Certain bulky, heavy, or specialised items may take longer to source — we will notify you if this applies to your order.

 


2. Delivery / Shipping TimeframesDelivery times start after the order has been fully processed and goods are ready for collection/dispatch.Estimated total time from order placement to delivery: 10–21 business days (approximately 2–4 weeks).

This includes processing + supplier lead time + transit time.

We aim to keep you updated via email or phone if there are any delays (e.g., supplier stock issues or courier delays).

Breakdown of typical timeframes:Local / Within Gauteng (or nearby areas): 2–5 business days transit after goods are ready.

Nationwide (other provinces): 4–10 business days transit after goods are ready (via courier or freight carrier).

Remote / rural areas: May take longer due to courier limitations.

Important: These are estimates only. Actual delivery times can vary due to supplier availability, public holidays, weather conditions, courier backlogs, or high-demand periods.3. Shipping Methods & CostsWe use reliable South African couriers and freight carriers suitable for hardware items (including bulky/heavy goods):Small/light parcels → Major couriers (e.g., The Courier Guy, Dawn Wing, or similar)

Large/heavy/bulky items → Dedicated freight services or pallet delivery

Shipping rates:Calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and dimensions. 

 

For very large or heavy orders (e.g., building materials, cement, sand, bricks), we may offer delivery by our own vehicle in select areas — contact us for a custom quote.

All shipping costs are displayed before you complete payment.

 

4. Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, we will send you:A tracking number (where available) 

Estimated delivery date

You can track your parcel directly with the courier using the details provided.5. Delivery ConditionsDeliveries are made to the address provided at checkout (doorstep or kerbside unless otherwise arranged).

For large/heavy items, the driver may require assistance to offload — please ensure someone is available.

Signature may be required on delivery.

We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by incorrect address details, recipient unavailability, or access restrictions (e.g., security estates without prior arrangement).

6. What If There’s a Delay?

If your order is significantly delayed beyond our estimated timeframe, we will:Contact you to explain the reason 

Offer you the option to wait, change items, or cancel for a full refund (if goods have not yet been specially ordered/purchased)

7. Collection Option (Preferred for Large Orders)

If you prefer faster access or want to avoid delivery fees:In-store / Warehouse collection is available in [your city/area, e.g., Pretoria / Laudium / Centurion – update with your exact location]. 

We will notify you once goods are ready (usually within the processing timeframe above).
